Wine evaluation of the Union of Oenologists of the Czech Republic 3.12.2024

On 3 December 2024, the planned Wine Evaluation of the Union of Oenologists of the Czech Republic took place, which was attended by 18 members of the association. A total of 6 wines from three applicants were evaluated. The highest rated wine was Riesling Walrus 2022, grape selection, dry No. 11/2023 from Vinařství EURONA s.r.o. with an average rating of 90.28 points. The wine is distinctly golden in colour, the aroma is dominated by notes of raisins, honey and overripe fruit. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, with notes of dried to candied fruit and a long, sweet honey persistence.

In the second part of the evening, a total of 8 samples of Nebbiolo wines were presented and discussed.
